Wall mounted touchscreens

We specialise in providing beautiful touchscreens for use with the CLIPSAL C-Bus system. We do this by installing and custom programming CLIPSAL automation controllers, and mounting iPad on the wall using our own design of wall mounting frames.

The interface can be accessed from a browser running on any desktop PC, tablet, or mobile phone connected to the site WiFi network. A typical installation will involve one or more wall mounted displays and is also accessible from mobile devices, all at the same time.

In addition to controlling regular C-Bus items such as lights, we have written proprietary code to allow the control of third party items such as TP-Link Wireless Smart Plugs, and Philips Hue Smart Globes. Many other items are able to be controlled, such as air conditioning systems and security systems. The beauty of this is that all these disparate systems need not be controlled through separate apps, but directly through the same interface. In fact, looking at the mobile device display above, some of these lights are Philips Hue Smart Globes and some are C-Bus controlled, but all appear the same in the interface, as they should do.

Upgrading existing systems and displays

Where it is an existing system, we will perform any alterations and upgrades, if desired, and also install the new automation controller, along with any wall mounted iPad frames. The first Clipsal C-bus systems were installed over 20 years ago, and many of these existing systems use somewhat tired looking touchscreens. Not only are these panels dated looking (dim displays, resistive hard-to-press touch sensitivity, and pixelated images), but the colour ones are no longer available. The obvious upgrade path is to move to our touchscreens.

The images here are of older obsolete displays. The Clipsal colour touchscreen model allowed programming via an inbuilt Logic Engine, and these routines can be replicated in the automation controllers. In a typical installation this older touchscreen would be replaced by a wall mounted iPad. The iPad connects to the site network via WiFi or an Ethernet cable with adaptor.
